Johnny Damon Re-signed
On February 1st 2006, PUMA signed a new four year sponsorship agreement with New York Yankee centerfielder Johnny Damon, extending the special relationship between PUMA and the charismatic All-Star athlete. As part of the relationship, Johnny will continue to represent PUMA on the baseball field wearing the PUMA DFR Metal cleats and represent the brand at events and in marketing activities. To celebrate the partnership and show commitment to one of the game’s most popular and talented players, PUMA presented Johnny with his ultimate dream car: a Ferrari F430 Spider. PUMA is the official supplier of the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Formula One team, supplying teamwear, racewear, footwear and accessories. PUMA worked with Ferrari to present this gift to Johnny during a special event at the Ferrari flagship showroom in New York City. “Ever since we started working together, PUMA has always provided me with the support and encouragement I needed. PUMA has let my lifestyle and performance speak for itself and I’m honored to have them by my side in New York as I take my career to new heights,” said Johnny Damon, New York Yankee and PUMA athlete.
